Dr. Gillis maintains a licence with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.  He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

Dr. Gillis specializes in Orthopaedic Surgery with sub-specialty training in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery.  He specializes in knee injuries such as ACL injuries and Meniscal Tears; as well as shoulder injuries such Rotator Cuff Tears and Shoulder Instability.

Dr. Gillis does not perform joint replacement surgery.
